Professionalism on Facebook

On the Internet, it is very important to portray a positive image of one's self no matter how private the security measures are.  There have been many times where I have questioned my own pictures on Facebook.  There is the old saying the "A picture speaks a thousand words", and oftentimes pictures can reflect badly on people when the other viewers do not have the full context of the situation.

For example, I am in Spain and can legally drink here.  In the United States, I can't drink because I am under 21.  Someone who doesn't know that I am living in Spain might think that I am partaking in illegal activities if I put up pictures with alcohol in them.  

I also am always conscious of the fact that my future and current employers may see my Facebook pictures.  Honestly, I will probably get rid of a lot of my Facebook pictures at the end of college in order to appear more professional and mature.  Especially if I am going to be a high school teacher, I will be sure to be wary of my Facebook activities and ensure that I am always displaying my most positive attributes.
